However, sometimes I improve or start to feel disconnected to her current design, and that's when she gets redesigned!! Throughout the past year her design has improved drastically, and I thought I would share the improvement with all of you! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ ── ✧ ── ✧ ┆ Information ˎˊ- • 1 - Ah, yes. This is Amethyst's birth, aka me a year ago decides to make a random PFP, hosts a naming contest, and decides upon the name Amethyst because it sort of fits the character and it was my favorite gemstone. • 2 - Amethyst's first ref! The overall layout is pretty terrible, the art is all one base I made, and... ugh, it's really bad. But, if anything, it shows everyone starts somewhere! • 3 - A new ref! Slightly improved layout, though still not good, and (sort of) better art. The wing is so anatomically wrong though--I can't. • 4 - Another ref! Fixed anatomy, still a bad layout though... room for improvement, but also improving. • 5 - Amethyst's largest redesign! :O The anatomy is somehow even more horrible than it ever was, but the design and palette drastically improved. Layout is quite boring. • 6 - Improvement! A *better* layout, and finally anatomy that both works and fits my style! Still, this is not good at all and needs some work. • 7 - An artstyle change, and a much better design! Improved layout and art, but the expression is just--no. Getting better, though. • 8 - Wow, huge improvement here!! This is just so overall better I can't even begin! I like this, but the purple is rather overwhelming and I don't feel connected. • 9 - Oooh, a nice one! This is the fullbody that I'm most proud of in all of them, the art and anatomy - I'm so proud. The ref itself is a bit boring though, and the layout could use work. • 10 - Another one! The fullbody in the last one is much better xD but this design is better, and that's what's important. The layout is a bit better, and the circlet has improved greatly. Overall I really like this, though there is lots of room for improvement! • 11 - Ah, a good ref! I was lazy and took the fullbody you remember from number nine, because I didn't think I could do much better and I really just loved it. Anyways, I had a really great layout and the circlet makes sense and is both cool and drawable. They represent me perfectly, I really love their design and I hope you like her too! • 12 - Xaer current ref!
