(174 words) “O-oh…” I stammer. That isn’t the reassurance I want. I start to put the wonder back, but the cashier shoots me a stern look. “You must find it’s story,” She tells me. “You must. It’s actually probable you aren't physically capable of leaving the object here.” I’m getting really freaked out now. I drop the shell. To my relief, I’m able to let it go. But right as it slips from my hands, my mind fills with the thought that a beautiful piece of life Mother Earth created was about to shatter because of me. It’s so sudden and so intense, I didn’t have time to think about anything else before my hand obeys the thought. I catch the shell. My mouth is opened slightly and my lip quivers. I should never have gone in here. I stand up straighter and carry the shell to the checkout, pushing all my uncertainty to the back of my mind. If I need to face this inevitable, dangerous quest, I might as well face it head on.
