Font from thumbnail: Calligraphiti by Open Window. Follow the instructions in each sprite, read ALL comments in that sprite before doing anything in the sprite! (Sometimes there's more if you scroll down) Start at the first sprite and work your way to the backdrop (the last one). Remix to save your work (I suggest doing that first). For any costume that already has something in it, use that color to draw what goes there. Eye, hair, and skin color are already an option, so you don't have to add multiple colors! (Don't do more than one body, if you want to add ears you can do it in the extra section :D) (Extra's are also covered) IF YOU ACCIDENTLY DELETE A SPRITE: Go to the top and hit "Edit" then click on "restore sprite". I don't know if it will be in the same layer though, so it's best to just not... For the EFFECT: You don't have to do this part if you find it too complex. Note that some effects interact with the mouse pointer, they won't get in your way of pushing the buttons though. IF YOU ACCIDENTLY DELETE A SCRIPT OR CHANGE CODE: Right-click in the code box/section and hit "Undo". If you find any problem when making this or have any questions, ask on this project! :D The amazing part about this though is that it actually switches back to the first option when it's finished... Well, you might know what I mean if you've made icon makers before. :) I tried to make this as user-friendly as possible, but I would still recommend making your own, that way it doesn't look like mine, but at the same time, this is designed for people who only know basic code and not enough to make an icon maker (yet!! Someday you'll get there :D), but I'm not sure if you'll be able to understand it if that's the case... Since I'm not a starter coder anymore, there's no way for me to tell, so please give feedback below! ↓ ヽ(*^▽^*)ノ And, if you already know how to make an icon maker, you can use this anyway! :D It would save all the extra time of making the variables, sprites, and coding, ugh.... XD One more thing, I did this myself, like made an entire icon maker out of it that's actually a real one, which can be found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/560156761/ I used it for debugging and to make sure everything worked fine, the savecodes WORK!!! EEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! XDXDXD I also used it to make the thumbnail, so if you think playing the icon maker in the thumbnail might be worth a try, then click the link :). Some of the bugs (now debugged) included layering issues (fix: relayering), glitchy buttons (fix: slow down load speed), having to restart the project each time you add a new costume (fix: add an "Editor" broadcast that shows everything you need to know so you can just make new costume and have it show*), and invisible effect (fix: hide what was blocking it at the start and show it when the script to activate that you got to that part is connected). So overrall I'm glad I tested it XD. *You would have to skip ahead and do two things first, then hit flag, then draw your option, then duplicate, hit flag again, click on the buttons to change the option you're on, edit your option, and it was nasty... So I changed it. I would suggest only doing this if you know at least the concept of how an icon maker works, you don't need to know how the code works, or how the savecodes work, just that you need multiple sprites combined together (each a different part) to make the finished picture, then to be able to change those parts (hence the different costumes) to edit the character, therefore making your "icon". So if you just joined a few days ago, I don't recommend this to be the very first project you remix.. I actually didn't remix projects for months, only to fix bugs, I didn't see the point LOL. And no, no way am I saying a 2-day year old scratcher can't comprehend this, it just might be a bit complicated... That sentence went on too long LOL. Anyway, no matter what time you joined you're still allowed to try :D. One more thing: It might by glitchy after you add all your costumes, I'm not really sure how to stop this since a lot of icon makers are at least somewhat glitchy, especially with graphic effects, so one thing you could try is to not add a mouse-trail or graphic effect (both will be hidden in presenting mode anyway) Oh, and the square that is shown of your icon in the button background, is the ratio of 1:1, the exact ratio of a profile picture! :D (it was done that way for a reason, so you could use it as a guide for screenshotting, but the thing is you'll have the effect in the way, so it's another reason not to add an effect LOL (in a future update I might add an option to go into "screenshotting mode" where you can screenshot it from a box, of course a person can always mannually crop it to 1:1 but still...))
