A drawing on paper is not art, no matter how much time, effort, or work it was put into it. It's not art. No drawing is art until the artist puts a little bit of themselves in it. A little bit of their heart. ⠀This isn't a regular drawing competition. This is an art competition. I'm not going to be judging the art by the skill level, or how pretty or stunning it is. I'm going to be judging it by the emotion. The feeling, the things that come into my mind as soon as I see the piece. You could draw a beautiful hyper realism of a watermelon, but if you come up short of why you decided to draw this, and how this piece relates to you, I'm already telling you, you will not win this competition. However, you could also draw just a simple, maybe 30 minute sketch. But if I can feel the power, the emotion, the passion that went into that piece, I would say you have a fair shot at winning. References are allowed, but you must link/credit the reference. - Any medium is fine, including acrylics, digital, origami, pencil, etc. Things such as icon creators, bases, etc.- those are not fine. - Please have a title for your artwork - Please answer these questions somewhere in the project :3. ✧ What are you portraying in this piece? ✧ How does this piece relate to you? ✧ How did you come up with the idea for this piece? - Small animations are fine, but please note that this is an art competition, not an animation one. You will be solely judged on your art and the story behind it. - You must remix this project to enter, but you can remix this project with an artwork you have created before. - You may ask for an extension, and if I feel you are working very hard, I will give you one up to 10 days. - Please do not use a tutorial for the whole drawing, although if you perhaps need to draw clouds for the background, feel free to find a tutorial for that part. - Last but not least, have fun, be creative, and just art! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀─── ･ ｡ﾟ☆: .☽ . :☆ﾟ. ─── Prizes: Grand Winner: 1 month shoutout, 2 full on AR's , 2 follow's Most creative: 1 full on AR, 2 follows Most effort/detail: 1 regular AR (nothing too hard), 2 follows HM: 2 follows, and a quick sketch ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀─── ･ ｡ﾟ☆: .☽ . :☆ﾟ. ─── A tip for those struggling: Go to a quiet place. Close your eyes. Breathe. Place your hand on your heart, relax until you can feel it thumping. When you close your eyes, what do you see? What do you hear? What do you feel? Is there a memory that suddnly pops in mind, or a sound that suddenly breaks your peace? Well, if there is, use that. Use that as an idea. Use that as as inspiration, use that to create art. It could be your dog barking, maybe you could draw something about the day you bought him home. Maybe you remember the day where your friend betrayed you, put those negative emotions onto the paper. Or possibly you smell your mom cooking pancakes for breakfast, you could draw the love your mother puts in to raising you and your siblings. The possibilities are endless. The ideas are endless.
