[ tw for death and violence ] [ victor finch au ] Since Finch probably couldn't be strong enough to eliminate cats, I think he would stick around with Raptor's group. As the cats begin to decrease one by one, the only cats left are Del Segna, Acacia, Raptor, and Finch. Acacia, now having succumbed to her own insanity, kills Del Segna. Raptor, devastated that he couldn't protect his friends, swears to protect Finch, even though he is injured from his battle with Rowan. When Acacia confronts Raptor and Finch, Acacia leaps for Finch, wanting to get rid of the weak link first. Raptor, being forced to eliminate his own ally for the sake of Finch, leaps in front of her path, battling her. Raptor eventually wins, now being extremely wounded. He speaks to Finch in his last moments, telling him to be strong. To make it all worth it, and to be happy. Raptor then dies from his wounds, leaving a traumatized Finch as the Victor. Next round, I think that Finch would either be extremely jumpy/traumatized, or kind of emotionless, in a way. Maybe Jagged would be Reaped, since I think he wouldn't have volunteered if Finch didn't die? Also, Azazel would absolutely DESPISE Finch xD [ azazel victor au ] Oh boy, I actually came up with a few futures when Azazel ended up being a Victor, and one has always stuck with me :0 So, hear me out- I think Azazel would've made it much farther if he hadn't ran into Thyme, so let's change that up. (This is not to say I was certain he would've won had that not happened!! Again, this is just an AU) Azazel, being on the brink of insanity, just kinda aimlessly roams around. He finds Jagged; the last surviving member of his group. Azazel, being much more irritable, would've probably eventually provoked Jagged to leave Azazel. This is what makes Azazel break. Now hunting down the rest of the Tributes, he watches as Thyme dies, and Jagged loses to Sheri. Since Azazel ran into Devon during his last canonical RP with him, Azazel pushes Devon into the flames...leaving just him and Sheri to fight. Since Azazel has otherwise avoided any major fights for a month or so, while Sheri has gotten herself involved in a number of them in that time, the only thing keeping Sheri from winning is how wounded she is....so, Azazel wins, leaving him as the new Victor. Now that Azazel is the Victor, I imagine that he would, at first, be very mentally unstable; for a spot of humor, I imagine he would be laughing his tail off when he sees Del Segna again, as if to say "I told you so," while still being unstable xD After a month of being in a mental hospital, he's only slightly recovered. He reunites with Gail, who has very mixed feelings. Her only grandson has returned to her, which overjoys her...but, Azazel has changed. He's much more arrogant, and isn't bothered by the fact that he had to kill to get where he is now. Gail has watched him kill over and over again, making her quite disappointed in Azazel. However, she doesn't bring this up, seeing how worried she is that he'll snap on her. Azazel would be overjoyed to see Acacia again, and would continue to be her protege, in a way. I imagine he would meet Malachite- and have a love-hate relationship with her, as she was one of Raptor's closest allies :") Azazel is much more arrogant and rude, now that he is a Victor. After several months in a mental hospital, he returns to his new Victor duties- he's not completely healed, but he's not as insane. He would probably hold extreme training exercises for the Tributes, with little to no regard for their safety. It would be rare for him to pick favorites. Azazel often visits home, and has manipulated Gail to be more happy for him, rather than disappointed. Gail's lost so much at this point, that she thinks things will be alright, now that her final family member has returned. Due to Azazel's words, Gail tries to convince herself that the grandson she knows and loves is still in there, and feels bad for everything he's done. So, she pretends everything is alright. Gail ends up leaving the shack in District 4, and lives in the Capitol, per request of Azazel. Azazel joins Acacia in rebelling against the Capitol, and even carries out a few anarchy missions himself. He enjoys it greatly, and continues to do it for years; holding no regard for innocent Capitol citizens he has killed or been responsible for their demises. He often gets nightmares of Raptor's ghost visiting him, showing Azazel everything he's done in memories. The nightmares only get worse as the years go on. When Azazel and Acacia get into a massive fight, Azazel, out of his rage, decides to do a solo mission- bomb the Capitol. (cont. below)
. . . . Gail, noticing how strange Azazel is acting, sneaks into his room while he's gone (he has left for the Capitol, at this point). She discovers what he's planning, and is mortified. Taking a train to the Capitol, she tries to find him, eventually finding him according to his plans- the roof of the Capitol building. Gail desperately tries to stop him, begging him to not kill potential hundreds of cats- but, of course...Azazel doesn't listen. He's had enough of the Capitol, and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that they suffer. He'll embarrass them, weaken them. To show Acacia and the world what he is truly capable of. Gail, out of blind emotion, leaps for Azazel. He's clearly not going to stop, and something needs to be done. Azazel, not expecting the attacks, is slightly weakened by them; however, due to Gail's old age and slowness, is quickly overpowered by Azazel. As Gail looks into Azazel's maddened, devious eyes, she comes to a realization. Her grandson is gone. He has been, ever since he stepped foot into that arena, more so since he left it. Azazel, the grandson she knew, loved, and raised...has become a monster. And now, Gail has to stop his path of destruction that he's taken on for years on end. So, Gail kicks him off. Runs for him. Slashes his throat. Azazel, not expecting the fatal attack from his grandmother, doesn't dodge. Gail is left to watch as Azazel, the last remnant of her broken family, dies right there in front of her, on the roof of the Capitol. Gail, devastated beyond measure, is left to flee the Capitol and spend the rest of her life running- without anyone by her side. What happens to her next?
