Name: Gallinule Species: MudWing Gender: male Pronouns: he/him Sexuality: straight Abilities: can hold his breath for up to an hour and breathe fire when warm enough. Personality: Gallinule is rather smart, and gets annoyed at dragons who think he isn't. He prefers to spend his time alone, or in small groups of dragons he knows. When in a large crowd or dangerous situations he can become afraid and agitated. This manifests itself in anger or other very shout- y emotions. He's confident and always wants to help educate himself and others. When he has questions, he asks questions. When he can explain something he does, giving no thought to how vain it might make him sound. He has a soft spot for bugs and young dragonets. He cares deeply for his friends and family and hates seeing them upset, but doesn't always know what to do about it. He gets along well with people who share his thirst for knowledge. Name: Caiman Species: RainWing Gender: female Pronouns: she/her Sexuality: bi Abilities: prehensile tail, camouflage scales, and venom in her fangs. Personality: Caiman is a mischievous dragon. She loves teasing others when she has the opportunity. She'll bend rules when she thinks they don't make sense, and will only follow authority figures she respects. She loves things that are unique (but not necessarily pretty). Rare flowers, interesting dragons, and fancy jewelry all fall under this. She usually does her absolute best to help dragons who ask for it (she likes making people happy and feeling useful), but will choose herself and her friend's safety over others if she has to. Name: Quicksand Species: MudWing/RainWing Gender: male Pronouns: he/him Sexuality: bi, female lean Abilities: Prehensile tail, SOME color changing scales (the red, silver, and lavender parts of his body) can hold his breath for up to an hour. Personality: Quicksand is perpetually sleepy in the way most MudWings are perpetually hungry. He often comes off as inattentive and slow to understand things. However, when work interests him or he really sets his mind to it, he can glide about with an almost serene, confident purpose and get jobs done quickly. He has semi-low self esteem because of a life among RainWings that didn't appreciate his "dull" brown scales. Despite this he is very brave and level headed. He just doesn't give himself credit for it. Part of the HiveWing hivemind. Personality: Coccinellidae is eager to please and loves making other dragons happy. She often teasingly won't do things for other dragons until they say "please", though, mimicking her parent's behavior toward her. She doesn't like to stand still and will tap her feet or fidget when she isn't on the move. She loves to feel the wind on her wings and is claustrophobic. She acts like everyone is her friend, even SilkWings. She's often hungry and can be a bit selfish when it comes to food. Name: Bunting Species: IceWing Gender: female Pronouns: she/her Sexuality: straight Abilities: frostbreath, serrated claws, can survive extremely cold temperatures Personality: Bunting is somewhat of a reserved dragon. She's alright with keeping to herself, with only a few close friends that she talks to at length. She is observant and prides herself on her ability to analyze situations quickly or notice things others may not be able to. She likes routine, and in some ways thrived in the IceWing army. However, in others, she did not. Everything in the palace was stiff. Presentable. Fake. It always felt like dragons were doing whatever would get them higher in the rankings, that there was no room to be sensitive or genuine. She has a sense of justice and hates to see dragons taken advantage of. However, she also hides her emotions well. She can deal with dragons she doesn't like without outburst. Instead of giving in to her anger she will plan how best to go about righting the wrongs she sees at a later date. Revenge is a dish best served cold, after all.
She is a good listener and understands the value of venting without judgment. She will try to give advice if asked (and will be entirely honest about how she feels instead of dressing up her feelings). She herself can have a hard time opening up and talking about her problems, though. Living in the IceWing army taught her to hide her weaknesses and it has been hard to drop that habit. Name: Canthon Species: SilkWing Gender: male Pronouns: he/him Sexuality: bi Abilities: Can sense vibrations with his antennae and spin silk from his wrists Personality: Canthon always feels like he has to be busy. Between his boundless energy, passion for creation/a job well done, and constant pressure from HiveWings to always be working, he's constantly itching to get stuff done. He likes to show affection by doing favors for other dragons. He's highly emotional and has trouble hiding it at times. He hopes that every one of his friends feel comfortable being open with him and speaking their mind to him. He can hold grudges sometimes, but he's working on being better about it. He often thinks about the dragons he left behind on Pantala, sometimes even lying awake at night. He has vowed to be useful if a solution is ever found. Name: Binturong Species: RainWing Gender: male Pronouns: he/him Sexuality: homosexual Abilities: prehensile tail, color changing scales, and venom in his fangs Personality: Binturong loves to travel. He longs to see the world, to meet many dragons and enjoy many beautiful views. Staying in the same place for too long can make him slightly antsy, as he feels like he's wasting his time. He could be furthering his dream! He has a lot of pride in his tribe and loves his color-changing scales. He became a tattoo artist to help other tribes wear their inner colors on their scales like a RainWing can, and uses his scales to preview the designs his clients ask for. He shows affection to those he's close with via words of affirmation and small gifts. Maybe a little souvenir he bought for them with a note attached. Speaking of, he likes to collect souvenirs and places a lot of value on the memories they hold. He'll talk your ear off about them if you let him. Favorite food: grapefruit Home: The Rainforest.
