Leaf has lost two of her three kits, Lily, Rose, and Fern. Fern is the only one who survived, even in greenleaf. Why? Come up with backstories, in comments. It doesn't make much sense for them to have gotten ill, their mother has been a rouge all her life and knows enough about herbs, and there are plenty around.
