POV: it’s 1993, and you hear a Leslie RS3L. September 11, 1993, I was returning home when I heard a familiar RS3L, it was the ATSF Local. I sped up to the nearest crossing and pulled into the emergency lane, (hazards on of course), and sure enough, the local had caught up, this engine was a bit unfamiliar, on the local, an SD45, not commonly seen on the local. I got my camera out and filmed said train, this train, in particular, is rather short on the weekends but can be longer on the weekdays, they can get up to 10 cars long. This one, however, was 5 cars long, and oddly only boxcars, and running long hood forward, which is unusual for this local as it usually has 2 locomotives. After I caught this, a Santa Fe Hotshot was approaching, but my camera is going to die, so that means I may have to charge it. See you in a bit.
