Backstory: As far back as he can remember, Yaogun was alone. He had one task, meant to last until the end of time. He was the guardian of stone, and he lived in the mountains near Yunnan, China. Like all shapeshifters, he could transform into anything, but could not change colour. At a young age, he mastered the art of shifting, the shape he took most often was the dragon. (press up arrow) However, over the years, he grew tired of the traditional Chinese dragon form, and began to experiment, adding a pair of wings, and eventually ridding himself of his legs entirely. As a dragon, he could survey great swaths of land in a short amount of time, and extended his habitation to the area called Tibet. However, his heart was always in Yunnan, and he would spend many hours by the shore of the South China Sea, listening to the waves, and sunning himself on a rock. One day, as he was doing this, a sea turtle came up beside him and asked him what he was doing. Yaogun was confused and answered that he was doing his job, protecting the mountains from Human encroachment. But, in truth, Yaogun had left that job far behind in his mind, and he longed to be far far away from the mountains. He struck a deal with the turtle, and they decided to trade places for 500 years. Yaogun then turned into a turtle and spent 400 years exploring the world, resting on sandy beaches, and trying out many new forms, such as a bear, cat, and dog. (press down arrow) He grew to like these forms so much that he left his turtle form behind, and traveled mostly in those forms. After the 500 years had passed. He returned in dog form to find the turtle. It was then that he learned that he had made a terrible mistake. For the turtle was no ordinary turtle, it was Beibi, the great water serpent, who had spent his life wreaking havoc on the land. Beibi desired to sink the entire land of China into the sea, and Yaogun had foolishly given Beibi the chance to do just that.... (cliffhangery ending here, since I'll need a bit to come up with a good climax)
