I only used arrows, the knight's shield which also broke, the lynel bow, cryonis (which i didn't put in there because its not in your inventory), ice arrows, and shock arrows. I had use my hearty elixir that had full recovery and +13 HEARTS (i know insane). So i just shot a bunch of arrows at him and he died eventually. When I boarded Ruta I only had a Korok Leaf. I tried to board Ruta without Sidon or anything but Ruta had a forcefield so i got blasted.
