man I did this in the car with no WiFi over the course of like;; a week so it's badly written and I was brainstorming half the time Lmao help favourite oc #lyndenbeloved Currently doing art in college or something idk Is rude, is brash, will take any opportunity to insult you, very cynical (thinks everyone else will just use him) and tries to hide his actual feelings. He hates Esme and he hates talking about the crap that happened when he was younger lol. His parents never really planned for him and they already had a daughter (who is 10 years older than Lynden). His father was well paid, and his sister goes on to have a very good, stable job that also pays pretty well. His parents subconsciously favourited his sister (Alliyah) and looked down on Lynden (and said things like "be like your sister" or even "you're a failure") as he wasn't really good at school things (unlike his sister who was top set in a lot of things or something) Lynden was just the awkward art kid who doodles instead of does art and lets people walk all over him. And eventually he got bullied by some kids in his class when he was 12. He didn't really say anything back or even think about causing arguments with them. Eventually someone called Ty stood up behalf of him and then, as you do, they became friends. Alsoososo Tytytytyt Ty was also friends with Esme so they kind of became friENDS then❓ (idk) although lynden was closer with Tyyyyyy because society Although however then Ty changed a bit (because backstory I won't get into) and also becomes a bully-like character. Of course then, lynden didn't really leave Ty because even though he knew they weren't a v. healthy friendship he believed he could change again and he also really didn't want to get bullied again. And so he bullied other people so he wouldn't be bullied himself and so he didn't have to find new friend groups or something. That eventually turned to bullying because of the fact he thought his parents didn't like him at all and thought he were a mistake and bullied others to cope with it. Fast forward a bit, (14-15 years old??) Lynden is now a massive jerk (and don't forget he's also the popular, hot, rich kid at school lol). Does some illegal dumb stuff because ✨peer pressure✨ such as drinking underage, sm0king, that kind of stuff. (Which is why when he's older he drinks a bit, "sometimes") Basically his life is kind of screwed up at this moment. And then, Esme commited "screw Lyndens life up even more." LETS CLARIFY. (read instruction part first lol) (continued) Lynden has always kind of had a crush on her, and when they *insert romantic thing that starts with K and ends in S that scratch hates* is when drama(ish) happens (I'm hyping this up too much lmao). Esme never really liked him (for reasons I should probably not talk about because I'll end up writing like an entire essay about this) and only really wanted his money (by his money I mean technically his parents and his sister's lol), his popularity and also to have "fun manipulating him" idk. And also so other people would like Esme herself even more and make Lynden seem like a worse person so she could be the more popular people who get "everything handed to them on a plate" as she believes being bullied only happens to less popular people and she wanted the money because parents (it's a long story ok haha) Yeahhhh it's not a coincidence Esme is taking a major in acting lol Lynden, being the dumb kid he was, bought her acting, and date...d her. Esme constantly asked him to "borrow" money and that crap but Lynden never noticed because he just really wanted someone who actually cared about him (and believed she did... haha lynden you've got news coming at you ‼️) He was too thick anddd sooo yeahhh. Lynden loses a lot of money because Esme. No other clarification needed lol. Also, forGot to mENTION Esme also kind of makes lynden feel bad for himself? Or something? Like she says things in a way that makes her seem the victim (e.g "omg you're going somewhere with your friends? :( we don't spend much time with eachother anymore, but I guess that's okay." If that makes sense?? Which then makes Lynden spend more money on her because he feels bad (wait till he finds out ??) So this crap goes on for about a year and now he's 16 ish. He also then nearly gets arrested for drinking underage in a bar(and gets fined a lot of money) so now even worse, his parents know he's done illegal things and he's literally screwed and his life at home is even worse because now he's even more of a disappointment. As punishment, he literally cannot ask for money unless it's a really dire situation so now he's broke as well (although they do pay part his college fund (?) because yeah they don't wANT lynden to be a worthless mistake and do want him to be "actually somewhat productive for the first time in his life". Also, why was he in a bar underage? I hear you asking. Because his friend group exists as well as the fact pEER PRESSURE!!!! And now, like stated before, he's broke. And so now Esme doesnt really have much of a reason to leech off him anymore. Esme cheats because she got bored of Lynden. Lynden finds out, and is hURT because he literally thought she actually cared about him (and as said before he was somewhat desperate for someone to care for him). This doesn't help with Lyndens mental health at all. Also ends up feeling guilty for being such a jerk to other people lmao but it's too lat ee. Esme makes up a bunch of lies that makes her seem the victim, and because of that and other stuff people believe her over him. So then the end ig lynden can't let go of his habits and is an anti-social turtle who hates everything the end
