#1: Swiftpaw would have made a much better mate for Brightheart than Cloudtail. #2: Ivypool is antagonized too much. _____________________________________________ Ok. I was looking back at Brightheart's arc, watching a couple MAPs and such (links provided below). I realized, that when Swiftpaw was trying to convince the other apprentices (Cloudpaw, Brightpaw, Fernpaw, & Ashpaw) to attack the dogs at Snake Rocks, only Brightpaw went with him. She was willing to risk life and limb for this cat, who would do the same for her. When Swiftpaw died, she grieved the most. It was only THROUGH HER INJURY that Cloudpaw (now Cloudtail) wanted to take her as his mate. Yes, I know, if Cloudtail hadn't taken Brightheart/Lostface as his mate, the prophecy in PoT and OotS wouldn't have happened, but what about Hollyleaf? She was not given a power. Also, in my opinion, Cloudtail is a bit of a tool. (sorry, Cloudtail fans.) _____________________________________________ Aight, so we all know about Ivypool's arc, but often she is thought of as a minor antagonist. I completely disagree with this. She risked her life and was tricked by Hawkfrost & Tigerstar. She was entrusted to spy for ThunderClan while in the Dark Forest, and had to ki// a cat to prove her "loyalty" to the Dark Forest, she was traumatized by that. She was ignored by StarClan and her sister became a prophecy cat that could do what she wants, while Ivypool became a nobody. She fought just as well as any cat in the battle against the Dark Forest, and Firestar showed the huge trust he had in her by letting her go to the Dark Forest, continuing to spy for ThunderClan. _____________________________________________ PLEASE NOTE: These rants are NOT, in any way, shape, or form intended to hurt any Cloudtail or Dovewing fans' feelings.
