IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT A FINISHED PROJECT. 90+% of the code and all of the instructions and notes and credits here are copied from the original game, The Wall v.1.2.0. Please do NOT take any of this as representative of this project. The Wall v.1.2.0: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/511216946/ This was simply published as a Work In Progress that anyone can complete, as I will no longer be active on Scratch (see my profile for more details on that). The main differences between this and The Wall v.1.2.0 is that this one has code and costumes for smoother skeleton animations, if you scroll all the way down and click on the sprite called "Skeletons." btw the music is "Sky High" by Elektronomia -----------------------INSTRUCTIONS--------------------- I think that it's fairly simple... MAKE THAT HEART AND STAR COLORFUL! Actual instructions right below. :) - First off, let it load, because this game has a LOT of code in it. - Then, click the Green Flag. You'll see some credits, and you can click anywhere on-screen to go through those quicker. If not, there'll be a three-second interval for viewing each. - Next up, you'll go to the title screen! Click on the "Continue To Menu" sign to continue. - Now the main menu! Here you can choose to go through the tutorial, go see some options, re-watch the credits, upgrade your weapons, check out some skeleton stats, or play through the actual game! - You now also have the option to save/load a game! Saving the game will not save it to the cloud, but rather give you a save code, which can be used to load the same game from anywhere, using the load option! Pretty neat! This next instruction section : - Options - The Store - The Game Almanac - Tutorial - Playing The Actual Game -----------------------Options Section------------------------ - Click on the "Options" button. - Update your sound options, although as of yet I have not added any sound effects! Sorry! - Also, feel free to open the leaderboard! - That's pretty much it. ------------------------Weapons Shop------------------------ - Let your mouse hover over a weapon type to see it's upgrade description in the scroll below. - The scroll will show the next level, what's new to it, and the cost for upgrading. Shop coins are earned by completing rounds in the game. (beating round 1 gives 1 coin, beating round 2 gives two, etc.) - All weapons upgrade to level 5, where they will be fully upgraded. - Some upgrades cost a lot, so your current weapon upgrades are saved to the cloud. (Well, at least they SHOULD be, but it's a bit confusing.) -----------------------Game Almanac------------------------ - This feature lets you read up on the stats of all skeletons currently featured in the game! You can click on a skeleton button to see that skeleton's name and statistical features. - Use the purple and orange buttons to scroll through the various pages, although at the moment there is only 1 page. - While looking at a skeleton's stats, you can click the button in the bottom right to go back to the overview. After a second or so, the "Back To Main Menu" button will pop up in the bottom center of the screen, of which you can click to go, you guessed it, back to the main menu. -----------------------Tutorial-Section----------------------- - Click on-screen to scroll through the tutorial. - STUDY! (Not that hard, but seriously. This is where you learn!) - Pass the simple test. - Click the heart and star - PIE IS GREAT! - Go back to the main menu. -------------PLAYING THE ACTUAL GAME------------- - Here you can actually play the actual game. You can unlock different arrow types as you progress, and if you are actually "Just Okay" at this, the deadly catapult! (Yes, it's OP for the first 15 levels. Then, you need to shoot Catapult ONLY if you wanna make it out without dying.) - If you wanna go back, just click on the button in the corner! - Also, you can pause the game via the purple and orange button at the top right. Hovering over that button lets you see the current round. - Also, to use special arrows, meaning NOT the basic, you must have at least 10 $$$. Otherwise, the game will register you as not being able to afford a special arrow... (So don't overspend!!!) - That's it! Have fun, enjoy! And remember, pie is great... (Press "E" to slip to round 12!) - If you die during the game (VERY likely) you can view your scores in comparison t0 the leaderboard, and then, just click anywhere on the screen to go to the main menu. P.S. If that heart and star in the corner are still gray... For your sake, I hope they are colored in.
Note : Username feature used for the leader-board and for the save code. (Yes, you can save the game) 100% Code, Artwork, & Music, All by me! Did I miss anything? Let me know! Also, please tell me about any glitches and the like. This game is a proud member of APEX Games and the "this project took a long time" studio. This game is also always improving. Update log below! Also, please tell me about any new ideas or thoughts that I should add in. Thank you! -----------------------UPDATE LOG------------------------ 4/15 - v.1.0.0 - Initial Game Released 4/15 - v.1.0.1 - Fixed minor bugs and added Mage Skeletons & Round 11, also increased Defender Level capacity to infinite. 4/16 - v.1.0.2 - Added Sneaky Skeletons & Round 12, along with user preferences saved to the cloud. Also improved user preferences cloud data saving stuff. And I also did some other stuff, oh, nothing of import, just making a bug-detecting software in the game itself! Which makes the game shut down, if there's a bug. 4/20 - v.1.0.6 - Added 1st air unit ever!!! The Baby Dragon has 3 HP, flies, and shoots fireballs (Also added round 16, naturally). Also added 2nd air unit, the full-grown deadly Dragon. So, round 17 is also added. Naturally. 4/21 - v.1.0.7 - Added Necromancer Skeleton (you don't EVER wanna fight them!) at round 18, and I also fixed a game issue where the defender's actions are a bit lagged, up to and including his flying, which was really slow. 4/21 - v.1.0.8 - Fixed some bugs, improved some skeletons, and also made the Shield skeleton and Knight skeletons (Big red guys) resistant to the defender's sword. Also fixed glitch where the higher your game speed, the higher the fire arrow pops back up after falling to the ground. Shield skeletons can now only be killed by lightning arrows, lightning, or the catapult. 4/21 - v.1.0.9 - Added 1st ever Challenge Round, which is basically a challenge, that gets you insane amounts of treasure, but is insanely hard to beat. (Beat 30 protected necromancers without your catapult!) Also fixed some bugs and glitches. Also, I added the Jumper Skeleton, and round 19. 4/22 - v.1.1.0 - Added Wall Max HP upgrading into the game, and also improved some game mechanics. Wall Max HP is upgraded now whenever you complete a Challenge Round. It contains the stats of all current skeletons! (So, I also deleted the skeleton Encyclopedia that was featured in the instructions box) 4/27 - v.1.1.2 - Added 1st Ever WEAPONS STORE!!! Here, you can upgrade your weapon types, and it is saved to the cloud, so that you might be able to keep using upgraded weapons! Store coins are earned by completing rounds. Also fixed some bugs related to changing the soundtrack. 4/30 - v.1.1.3 - Fixed bugs and rewrote some code to prevent a bug where the game shuts down when you die. And by shut down, I mean become unplayable. 5/1 - v.1.1.4 - Fixed some bugs and enhanced game play, also improved some things in the Shop. 5/22 - v.1.1.5 - Updated Leader-board script to run easier, with less lags and bugs. 5/24 - v.1.1.6 - Updated some scripts for a smoother game, especially with the changing size upon touch, and also the almanac scripts too. 5/25 - v.1.1.7 - Added new scripts and changed old ones to work a lot easier. 5/26 - 1.1.8 - Added saving and loading the game, so that you can resume your progress from anywhere, so long as you have your code! 7/26 - 1.1.9 - Shortened Studio credit time to @scrappydoo6 's request. 8/18 - 1.2.0 - Added new custom soundtrack. -----------------------COMING SOON----------------------- New skelly types, such as... well.
