‟Everything starts from a dot” - Wassily Kandinsky A true legend of abstraction and art history, Wassily Kandinsky was an influential Russian painter and theorist whose concepts changed the very fundamental essence of art and the way it’s perceived. Known for his lyrical style and innovative assumptions on nonfigurative art and it’s connections to music and soul, Kandinsky was the creator of modern abstract paintings. Yes, from writing an essay in German to drawing a line in Geometry, it's the dot that helps you the most! As you might know a line is made up of infinitely many points (which is another name for a dot). So, the main idea of this theme is to do something big, being small is just enough! FACT: There are about 5.21 x 10^21 atoms in just one drop of water! Yes, you heard that right! So, can you imagine how many atoms are there in the river Mississippi? Leave alone the atoms, can you even think how many drops of water are there in the river?
English Big dots, little dots, there are dots all around! Ever seen a Ladybird's shell with all those beautiful dots, or ever tried to make patterns on an isometric sheet? There are dots all around you! Everything you see around is actually made up of something teeny-weeny; we can call it a dot! (Or maybe an atom?) Here are some suggestions for creating projects: - Make a story where a dot tells its story (evolution, history, etc.) - Design a game where you can give certain commands so that dots arrange up in a certain way - Create a really unique pointillism artwork Remember, these are only suggestions! You are welcome to come up with your own ideas as well. _____ To have your project added to this studio, please post a comment with the link.
