Space The Boing Aircraft Inc. company has released the third variant of their B-30 Heavy bomber, the B-30 Charlie. It now has improved technology, like a system that detects damage on the aircraft, and tells the engineer where it is, what the severity of it is, as well as how it will affect the aircraft. The biggest upgrade, however is an Air-to-Air APS system. There are 5 sites total (two on the top, two on the bottom, one on the tail,) and they work by utilizing a radar dome that detects incoming missiles (Air to air heetseaking, air to air radar guided, SAM, really any kind of guided ordinance that could be a threat.) Then, a hatch slides open, revealing a set of 4 missiles, and it will fire one at the incoming projectile, making it detonate before it hits the aircraft. This is superior in protecting the aircraft than machine guns, due to the difficulty of hitting a fast-moving fighter jet of today.
