i. things have gotten worse since we last spoke _ eric larocca honestly, it’s a pretty bizarre book with so much to sort through?? i love to sit through it, and analyse whatever possible. solid 4 (mature readers btw) ii. tweet cute _ emma lord ohmygod, this book was disgustingly adorable. im a sucker for EVERYTHING in this. just a sweet, short book - kind of perfect to get through reading slumps. solid 4 (all audiences) iii. daisy jones & the six _ taylor jenkins reid honestly, my opinion on this is kind of controversial - i LOVE oral histories and books in the form of transcripts, but this one was not for me. compared to the seven husbands of evelyn hugo - it is not even close. the characters felt 2-dimensional, and especially daisy!! who was supposed to be a strong, whimsical, growing woman - did not come across that way (for me atleast). still a pretty fine read. solid 3 (15+ audience) iv. the tell-tale heart _ edgar allan poe this is a classic, we covered an excerpt of it in school and i was so riveted; i read the whole thing at home. ive read a few works of poe before, and all of them are so intellectually fulfilling. there is so much to analyse, and understand - this is definitely one of my favourites. solid 5 (idk kind of mature audience??) v. omniscient readers viewpoint _ sing shong okay so, this is currently also an in-work webtoon - if you’re into that. but this is EVERYTHING to me, an original light novel - with 6000+ pages. a really intriguing plot, an extremely well built universe - and THE CHARACTERS what i really like about this is that the book also focuses on technical universe details, not just plot - but how the universe actually operates. a complete well rounded book. solid 5 (13+??)
long time no see !!
