Key: * = Italicized ~~~ = Change in Time ⠀Shadowpaw glanced at the yellow tabby she-cat. She looked about seven moons old. Barely an apprentice. How could she know where he was in his vision? "What do you mean?" he asked her, "You must be mistaken." ⠀"In the tunnels. That humming noise. It's how I broke my leg," the apprentice meowed. ⠀Shadowpaw looked at her in confusion, "How could the humming noise break your leg?" ⠀The she-cat rolled her eyes, "It didn't. It was controlling me. I didn't know what I was doing until it was too late. I fell and broke my leg.” ⠀Shadowpaw looked at her with curiosity. She seemed to be describing exactly what the place in his vision was like. But… What were the chances this cat —barely an apprentice— knew where he was in his vision. It seemed all too good to be true. ⠀There was an awkward silence in the air that made Shadowpaw feel too uncomfortable. He turned to Kestrelflight, “Have you heard the humming noise in the tunnels too?” ⠀Shadowpaw had heard of the tunnels that were underground WindClan and ThunderClan. They didn’t cross into ShadowClan territory, so Shadowpaw had never been in it before. He didn’t know what it was like in there, and he probably never would. Unless his vision really did take place in the tunnels… ⠀“You don’t believe me?” the she-cat was astonished. ⠀“Applepaw,” Kestrelflight scolded her, “He was just making sure. He’s never been in the tunnels before. No, I haven’t Applepaw said she did, and I went to check it out but I couldn’t hear it. I only saw her hypnotized.” ⠀“Hypnotized?” Shadowpaw never heard anything like this story before. It was just too unreal… ⠀“That’s what I said! Why didn’t you believe me?” Applepaw said from her spot on the ground. ⠀Kestrelflight just shook his head while Shadowpaw ignored her. “Can I go there? I want to see if it’s the place of my vision.” ⠀“Sure. Let me go talk to Harestar first. Do you mind staying here and watching Applepaw? Last time I left she damaged her leg again.” Applepaw hissed at him. ⠀“I don’t mind, anything to help my fellow medicine cats,” Shadowpaw said. ⠀“Okay, thanks, I’ll be right back,” Kestrelflight said as he turned to walk out of the medicine cat den. ⠀Applepaw hissed at Shadowpaw then curled into a ball turning away from him. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ~~~ ⠀Kestrelflight pointed his tail at a big hole in the ground. “This is the entrance to the tunnels,” he said. ㅤShadowpaw started to carefully walk in step by step. He didn’t know what to expect on the other side, and he didn’t really like the dark; especially after his vision. He immediately felt the sharpness of the cold hard stone seep into his paws. When he first walked in it was dark but you could still see the faint light coming in from the outside world. As they traveled on Shadowpaw couldn’t see anymore light. It was colder than ice, and dark as a night with no stars. There was only one thing it was missing. And that’s when Shadowpaw heard it. ㅤ“This is the place,” Shadowpaw said his eyes darting around, “but it’s too dangerous in here. I can’t speak for WindClan, or ThunderClan for that matter, but I think you guys should stay out of here.”
