I made a couple of adjustments to the design (four legs instead of six), hope that's alright :] 1. reference sheet ! 2. shaded fullbody from ref sheet 3. quick shaded icon 4. sketchy little thing - comet + his brother (arcade). looks terrible but yknow might as well put it in here 5. what was i thinking when i made this ? i have no idea. 6. little doodle !! 7. original (by @-cafecat-) ★ Bio ★ Name: Comet Gender: Masc enby (he/they) Sexuality: Questioning Age: 14 Species: Feline Occupation: N/A - aspiring astronomist Personality type: . personality positive- hardworking, intelligent, curious + creative neutral- laidback ??, analytical, realistic + relatively ambitious even with no aspirations to move to the city negative- distracted, hopeless romantic, easily overwhelmed, impatient + a little insensitive - - comet is never the first to rush into a situation and always avoids meeting new people or encountering unfamiliar situations. he prefers to hang back and analyse scenarios to their fullest extent, keeping quiet even if he has a lot to say. he often tries to help others, always with altruistic intentions that can get lost along the way as he slips up or forgets about what they actually need. comet has a very short attention span and while their interests are constantly evolving, they have always remained fixed on a single subject - astronomy and space. their life goal is to prove the existence of foreign life on other planets, not necessarily aliens as we picture them, though. they spend much of their time inside studying or in the observatory, accompanied by their 'pet' plush toy (kept in a ufo-style carrier on their back + since this world is semi-fantasy, nova is animated by stardust). this plush is called nova and has belonged to comet since they were a little kitten. even as an introvert, he loves being around his friends whenever he goes outside and would do anything for them. . backstory as kits, comet had a strong relationship with his older brother of two years, arcade. they were best friends and spent most of their time together, playing chase, star-gazing and hunting insects. comet had decided, even at this age, he would always stay in their small yet bustling hometown, full of both excitement and tranquility. he had other friends who were also going to stay, but here arcade and comet differed greatly in opinions for once. one fateful morning, comet awoke and rushed to his brother's bedroom, remembering it was arcade's birthday, the present he had put so much effort into wrapped neatly and resting in his jaw. he stumbled into the rooming, bouncing up and down - "happy birthday! I hope this makes up for how we haven't really been talking to-" where arcade should've been was only an almost-empty, still-warm bed, hosting a pile of books, childhood favourites of the pair, and a note resting on top. the writing heralded the departure of arcade, who had grown restless as him and his brother argued constantly these days. he had decided to leave, desperate for a life away from home. comet was heartbroken and eventually ceased all contact to anybody, spending weeks shut up inside with only his books and nova for comfort. mabel wasn't going to take any of this. comet locked the doors and shut the windows, refusing to let her into his life again, but after a period of pestering, comet opened his heart again and let her inside. she convinced him to move on, stating that arcade had left for a reason and would return one day. he now spends his time as an apprentice under the best astronomer in town, stargazing with his found family and visiting mabel at her bakery. perhaps one day he will be reunited with arcade, who knows? TL;DR comet's best friend was their brother who left them for the city, causing comet to become heartbroken before mabel gave him hope again. . relationships ARCADE - ♡ ♡ ♡ formerly comet's best friend, if they met again in the future their relationship would take a lot of effort to rekindle.
