In this project, it all starts with a simple, purple 'animal' which then multiplies, the offspring start with a random mutation (which is greatly exaggerated so you can clearly see), these then also reproduce - again- giving their offspring a random mutation. This continues until you can clearly see them differentiate so they start to become different 'species' Of course, this is a huge oversimplification of the actual process of evolution (there is no influence from the location or other species!!) but I thought it was a nice visualisation. In real life, certain characteristics would help/hinder a creature creating selection pressure for those characteristics to increase/decrease. I would recommend that you keep this on in the background (or just watch - it's pretty satisfying) for a while to fully watch things for - it is honestly quite cool. !Important! When you reach scratch's clone limit, the project still works but nothing will multiply until something else dies off - to avoid this use turbowarp ( https://turbowarp.org/565691643 ) and turn off clone limit in advanced (this is not recommended if you have a slow computer - it might crash) If you want to learn about history (especially evolution) I would highly recommend this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9RGaN2OEkw
