You can move the white 'post' (You) with ASWD or ARROWS and shoot with SPACE. Direct your shots with the mouse pointer> Keep the pointer steady and hold SPACE to create a constant line. Move the pointer VERY SLOWLY and hold SPACE to create a 'contrast line'. Make the pointer go nuts and hold SPACE to go nuts. THE PROJECT THINKING YOU ARE HOLDING SPACE WHEN YOU ARE NOT IS A REACTION TO ALL THE RAYS CAUSING LAG WITH TOO MANY REBOUNDS/POLES. IT WILL FIX ITSELF SHORTLY.
Welcome to Linear Rebound! This is the small template I have used in one of my new games which can be found here. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/56656844/ I experimented with a rebounding script on the 'Rays' and I quickly forced myself to make a bunch of the Rebounding Posts to play around with. IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GRAPHICAL WORK. I AM NOT A GOOD ARTIST. I just noticed this was cool and put it out. If you want to redo the graphics, please remix this. PLEASE NOW THAT I WILL NOT BE UPDATING THE BOUNCE EFFECT (much). Please do not criticise me on the graphics or hitboxes, that is scratch for you. UPDATE LOG: Current version: 1.0.4 Total Versions: 6 Vers 1.0.4: Fixed a glitch where the final pole rendered is counted as 2 and rays pass through it. Vers 1.0.3: Changed 1 action, resulting in rays going exactly at the mouse (they still bounce away) Vers 1.0.2: Changed centre of rays, rebounds graphically look much better. Vers 1.0.1: Reworked rebounding, works a bit better. Vers 1.0.0: Shared, wrote a bunch of stuff in the notes & instructions. Vers 0.9.0: Tried out multiple 'rebound poles' while making the game that will use this concept and quickly decided to put this out to all of you.
