===================First Note================ Hey guys! I wanted to make something in my spare time, so don't expect much from this game. Either way, I still made it solely for fun, so I really hope you enjoy this game! ==================Backstory================ I never thought of a backstory, so I scrambled together this short story... You are a space pilot flying through the big expanse of black, when you accidentally head into an asteroid field! Can you survive against the asteroids? =================Instructions================ -Use the arrow keys or WASD to move around. -Press space or click to shoot. -Try to survive and get the highest score! Oh and also, shooting asteroids gives you points, too! Big ones give 5 points when destroyed, and 3 points are awarded to destroying a small asteroid. Either method, you get 1 point per second. ==================Glitches================== -Not much of a glitch, but when you start the game, you automatically fire. I know how to fix it, but I'm too lazy to fix it right now. -_- -You have to click the toggle static button a few times to start toggling the static. ==================Credits=================== -I used a tutorial by @griffpatch to make this game. Infact, the base code is the same as the growing trend of tutorial games called Lemonoids! -The static that appears, no matter if the main game is playing or not is an idea borrowed from @RandomTopek11's game Orbital Defense. (play the game here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/468728622) -The sound effects for the ship and firing are from YouTube (don't know the source), and the other sound effects are from 's audio sprite in his project with all the assets from his tutorial space game. -The songs used are: Dreams by Lost Sky, Fly Away by TheFatRat and, the soundtrack also from 's asset list-thing. =================Changelog================= -9/4/21 || v.0: I released this pile of thing! -9/5/21 || v.0.5: I started adding a settings menu. -9/7/21 || v.1: I finished the menu! I added a mute button and a switch to toggle the static.
