=+=+=Catch!=+=+= Catch! is a game about catching apples and avoiding swords that will break your bowl. =+=+Game modes+=+= -Classic mode; the classic Catch! experience. Catch apples and power-ups while avoiding the swords. -Survival mode; No apples, no power-ups, only swords. Avoid the falling swords to gain a point. NOTE: Score in Survival mode doesn't get counted towards your total score or the highscore because that would be too OP. You can, however, complete the "Broken" achievement. =+=+Power-ups+=+= Chonky bowl; makes the bowl wider for 10 seconds. Smol bowl; makes the bowl narrower for 10 seconds. Speed bowl; only available when playing with keyboard, makes bowl faster for 10 seconds. Gapple mode: changes all red apples to golden apples for 10 seconds, and spawns more of them. =+=+Game History+=+= Oct/9/25: V1.13.2: Added outlines to apple and gapple textures. Sep/23/25: V1.13.1: Added a slider for bowl colors in settings. Centered the icons for score and stats buttons. Sep/19/25: V1.13: I decided to combine V1.12.1-V1.12.3 into just V1.13. All of these features have been added from Sep 5, 2025 to Sep 19, 2025. Changed "Gamer" Achievements to be 5/10/20 games instead of 10/30/50, added 1 new achievement, revamped achievements screen. Removed the "How To Play" button. Added a toast to the bottom left of the screen during play that shows the song playing. Added 1 new background, made settings screen more compact, updated look of switches in settings, and fixed an oversight with the music toggle. Aug/26/25: V1.12: Changed "Control with keyboard" to "Control Scheme", with buttons for mouse or keyboard controls instead of a switch. Added Stats button on the main menu. Added two more gradient backdrops. Removed data saving feature for now until I feel like fixing it, which I don't. Aug/25/25: V1.11: Added animation to achievement toast, removed "Achievement Info" text from achievement info screen, now only the achievement name and info text is there. Moved settings button down with score and achievements buttons. Added different background gradients you can change to in settings. Fixed an issue when the game updated the "total score" counter, added "personal best" counter to scores screen. Changed up how power ups work slightly. Mar/19/23: V1.10.1: Removed the shop and shop button because lets face it, I'm never gonna make it, made some other improvements here and there Oct/9/22: V1.10: Fixed a couple bugs, added some animations to elements without animations, changed setting "Control with A&D or <&>" to "Control with keyboard". Jun/1/22: V1.9: Added 3 new achievements. Apr/1/22: V1.8: Changed the sound when you collect a gapple, added "Total score" counter in the scores screen, added "Survival mode" where you avoid swords to gain points (change the mode in settings), made apples not spawn on swords. Oct/31/21: V1.7: Added the ability to save/load your progress, it's not perfect though, there's a lot of bugs, removed the 'reset progress' button for now, fixed a bug where completing achievements 8 and 9 will show up as completing achievement 7. Oct/30/21: V1.6: Fixed bug with achievements, made achievements 7-9 achievable, added a counter to see how close you are to completing an achievement. Oct/28/21: V1.5: Added two power-ups; smol bowl and speedy bowl, added achievements screen, and new achievements, 3 of which are not able to be achieved yet. Oct/24/21: V1.4: Added switch to disable/enable SFX (I might've missed a sound or two), removed unnecessary loading bar, changed color scheme for 'cancel' and 'confirm' buttons in the 'reset data' screen to fit the theme of the screen. Sep/11/21: V1.3: Added achievements, made mouse cursor/tap default control scheme, added a switch to turn off the music, added "Reset data" button, fixed bug where you can gain points when your bowl breaks, updated "How-to-Play". Sep/9/21: V1.2: Added scores button and screen, added high score, changed positions of shop and achievements buttons, changed sound when you collect a regular apple, added sword that you need to avoid, or your bowl will break and you will lose 2-5 points, added two new music tracks, fixed bug at 75+ apples.
