Click the green flag and just look at the art and listen to my cringey voice read a narrative I wrote for English class. There's a little animation, but it's mostly just art. So, in school, my English teacher wanted us to write a personal narrative of an experience in our life, so I decided to write my narrative on a lightning bolt that my family and our friends were able to see during our vacation in Colorado, because it was very magnificent, and showed us the power of God and his beauty. Our teacher also wanted us to make a slide show or something that had pictures of the thing we were writing about, and then record ourselves reading the narrative over the slide show. I wanted to upload my narrative on scratch, and since I didn't have any pictures of the lightning, I created it on scratch and spent a couple hours on creating this when I could've just spent like 30 minutes making some slide show and recording myself. Anyways, enjoy the narrative. Here's the whole narrative if you just want to read it: The Heavens Declare The heavens declare His majesty as they penetrate the ground with the most powerful bolts of lightning. All will know His power after experiencing the frightening image of a flash across the heavens. He is a powerful God, who displays His dominion throughout the world, and His sovereignty is incomparable. It was our family and another, sitting just inside our cabin in Colorado, watching through opened double doors, staring at a dark and starry night. It was still and quiet, the breathing of our friends was audible. Our chairs crowded against each other, our blankets hugged us, and the stars twinkled at us. We held our breath as we waited for the next lightning bolt, which never gave warning as to when it would attack the ground. And then a flash. A flash brighter than the sun, lighting up the whole sky. It blinded me, yet I couldn’t look away. The stars disappeared as they were conquered by the flash of lightning that could’ve scared away any living beast. It’s brightness overcame my eyes, my brain struggling to comprehend it. I asked myself, “How is this possible? What could create such a frightening image?” The answer was God. What else could it be? This split second was an example of his power and beauty, an obvious evidence of his authority. And then it was over. The flash was no more. The sky returned to it’s darkness, and the stars reappeared with their twinkling. It was still silent. No one had said a word, not even the lightning. The silence pierced the air, threatening to stay forever. And everyone waited. In our chairs. Under our blankets. Our eyes wide with fright and amazement. And we all counted. 1...2...3...4... And then the silence was over. It fled, with its tail between its legs, as God whipped the ground with the largest whip ever known to mankind. The crackle could be heard for miles. The earth grumbled and cried out in pain. The vibration was so intense, it was like being in the middle of a stampede. The feeling of the vibration intensified, as the roar of a thousand lions filled the air. The roar stayed present in the air as we all stared into the dark, starry night. We waited in our chairs, under our blankets. And then it was quiet. “Wow. Less than a mile away.” Is what someone said. “The coolest thing I’ve ever seen.” I responded. The power of God is frightening, yet beautiful. Nothing can compare.
