POV change: Clara The Clockwork Droid was still staring at me. Every so often, it’d tilt its head to the other side. I never let it out of my sight. Standing for an hour straight is hard work. My legs were tired. But had it really been an hour? It had probably been longer. I quickly glanced at my watch. My blood ran cold. No time had passed at all. The second hand kept moving, so I knew it wasn’t broken, but the time still read 10:53. Regaining eye contact with the droid, I groped behind me until I felt the stairs and sat down. I was trapped in a sort of… time pocket thing. Why wasn’t the TARDIS doing anything? Surely she didn’t enjoy having this creepy robot in here. Or maybe, since no time was passing, this was beyond her control. I groaned out loud. When would the Doctor come back? WOULD he come back at all? What if something had happened to him? I began to worry, not just for my own safety, not just for his, but for everyone’s. What would the universe be like without the Doctor? We need him. I tried to regain the connection that I’d had earlier with the sonic. Wait a minute… The sonic must be somehow connected to the Doctor. It must keep time with him, somehow. That’s why it was able to… I dropped it in my moment of realization and it rolled under the control panels. Oops. I’d have to move to get it, and the Clockwork Droid would be out of my sight. I stuck my foot out in vain, trying to hook the screwdriver with my toes. The Doctor was right. I am too short. (To be continued…)
