All of a sudden, the ground began to shake. Nutmeg watched as the ground churned beneath him. He stood there, frozen as the mountain heaved out a fountain of gray smoke. The buildings of Pompeii began to crumble. He ran for his life, hearing the walls fall to pieces. Stopping on the top of a hill where he could not be reached, Nutmeg looked at his town. It was in ruins. Smoke covered the hills and everything was black. But a feeling of hope arose in Nutmeg as he opened his eyes. He had survived. It was over (or so he thought). He saw lava crawling over the hills towards him and felt the hill start to crumble underneath him. He couldn't do anything but run. Lava seemed to chase him, and the 'ash monster' purses him. He ended up at his village, and the sight was too much. He ran, although it was over. (Maybe) Stopping at a hill, he looked at his city. Nutmegs heart was broken. All of a sudden, he heard a sudden sigh. He turned around to see a beautiful white and silver she-cat. The name on her collar read Feather. Nutmeg knew that someone else survived..so he ran on. Before he left, he heard Feather speak. Please help, said Feather shyly, my sister's still alive, but she's trapped under rocks. Nutmeg and Feather ran to the rock pile and found Feather&;s sister. Nutmeg noticed her tail twitching. Feather leaped to the rescue and broke her sister, Mottled, free, losing her collar. Ooohhh...
