Sorry for making this so short. This is my first animation! I usually just make games :P Over 100 people applied, and only two won. If you didn't win, don't feel bad! There were a ton of entries, and I'll be hosting a few more contests for the game :) [SPOILERS BELOW] |-Leaderboard-| 1st Place - Derp (@wobbuffetfan) 2nd Place - X the Ninja (@-nintendoswitch-) 3rd Place - Dug (dogzanimations) 4th Place - Spazbol (@spazbol) |-How I Chose the Winners-| Spazbol - Spazbol was one of the first entries, and by far the smoothest at that time. Although the frames were blended very well, there weren't as many as it looked like, and the way the art was made would have been very hard to work with. Dug - @DogzAnimations is insane. The effort in their projects is undeniable. However, many of the moves weren't added, there wasn't much detail in the background, and the animation was overall pretty short. X the Ninja - This was one of the only entries that looked like a real SSB reveal trailer. Although the animation itself could have used some work, @-nintendoswitch- made X incredibly easy to implement into the game, as he had the exact same amount of frames for each move as Mario. Derp - Although not exactly an animation, I knew Derp was getting a place in the game from the moment I clicked the flag. @Wobbuffetfan went above and beyond with him. Not only are the animations smooth, but there are two separate movesets; one for before Derp eats all the cookies, and one for after. This is such a neat idea, and I absolutely love it. But that's not all! A wonderful stage was included in the animation, as well as two incredible songs, one of which was used in this project. |-Credits-| Music - @wobbuffetfan, Characters - @spazbol Splash - Code - Inspiration - Nintendo
