I looked around the room. Everyone was laughing and having fun, except for me. All of my friends had dates, and I was left alone, not having anyone to come with. Last month, Professor Sam announced the Yule Ball. Everyone had gotten excited, and immediately planned dates and outfits. Quackity was going with some girl named Melania, Tubbo was going with Ranboo, Dream was going with some exchange student, Jimmy was going with his girlfriend, and the rest of my friend group managed to scramble up dates out of thin air. I really wanted to ask out Sapnap: my friend and longtime crush. I mean, what wasn't to like? He was super involved in everything he did, very kind, and always stood up for others. He had dazzling green eyes that shone like gems, dark brown hair like rich chocolate, and a smile as kind as the soft sunlight on a midsummer's day. His smirks and remarks make the butterflies in my stomach do somersaults, and his laughs make my heart skip a beat. He's perfect. I think I love him, but I'm much too unsure about his feelings to say so. I'm biromantic and asexual; I've known that since I was ten. But Sap doesn't speak much of his sexuality, so I don't know his feelings towards guys. The last thing I want to do is ruin our friendship — that's why I haven't told him yet. And I suppose I will be waiting for much more time, as I'm sitting here alone, all dressed up for no one. That's how I expected the rest of the night to go, until I saw a familiar jade-eyed Gryffindor walk up to me. Sapnap. He sat down next to me, "I suppose you didn't have any luck finding a date?" I sighed, "Yeah. What about you?" "Same." "Really?" I asked, quite surprised to be honest. "I could have sworn at least every girl in the grade had asked you." "Eh, not quite," he replied. "Although a few had asked me, I wasn't interested. But," he continued, "I may still have a chance." I raised my eyebrow. "How so?" "Well," he stood up, facing his body towards me. "I was wondering if you'd like to accompany me on this lovely night." He winked, bowing and reaching his hand out. I couldn't help but be shocked. He wanted to go with me? Karl Jacobs, dancing with Sapnap at the Yule Ball. No way this was happening. I closed my eyes tightly to make sure I wasn't dreaming. But sure enough, when I opened my eyes I was met with his enchanting gaze. "I-I'd love to," I stuttered, my face becoming a little red. He chuckled, hand still out-reached. "O-oh!" I grabbed his hand, laughing at myself, becoming the slightest bit redder. He smiled, and kissed my hand before bringing me to the middle of the dance hall, where all the couples were slow dancing to a sweet love song. Sapnap grabbed my hand, intertwining it with his own. He placed his remaining hand on my lower back, whilst I placed mine on his shoulder. We started to dance. It felt wonderful. Just him, and me, dancing the night away. It was so calming – that was until my clumsy self accidentally stepped on his foot. Great. I stuttered out an apology, and he just giggled in return. We continued to dance, and I, yet again, stepped on his foot. I was feeling so nervous at this point. I was blushing furiously from my embarrassment. "I'm so sorry, I've been so clumsy tonight. I get it if you don't–" But I got interrupted by another one of Sap's giggles. "Karl, you don't need to apologize. I understand it's all a bit nerve-wracking, but there's no need to be so nervous around me." "B-but, I've just messed up so much, and you're oh, so very pretty tonight, and I'm getting distracted, and–" "Karl!" He chuckled. "You're going to make it worse for yourself if you keep rambling. Just find something to focus on, and go with the flow." I took a deep breath, and did as he told me: Find something to focus on. We started up our dancing once more, and I kept my focus. What was I focusing on? Him. The incredible man I was dancing with. I guess I was too busy focusing on our movements to notice him staring at me. Specifically, my lips. "Karl…?" He asked, and I was out of my trance. I looked up and saw his face, pink with blush, and a nervous expression. "Yeah?" I replied, now nervous myself of what he was going to ask. "C-can I… can I kiss you…?" He looked down, embarrassed. I smiled at this, and responded, "Yes." He looked at me, hesitant, but placed his hand on my cheek, pulling me in for a kiss. It was euphoric. I placed my hand on his neck, while his previously intertwined one ran through my hair. After a few moments, I pulled away for a breath. He smiled at me, chuckling a bit. "Well uh, I guess now's a good time to tell you I like you, yeah?" I laughed, "Yeah. And Sapnap?" I pecked his lips. "I like you too." He smiled softly. I placed my head on his shoulder while we gently swayed to the remainder of the song, Sapnap whispering sweet words in my ear. Though it hadn't gone as planned, tonight couldn't have gone better.

I'm not really sure if I will continue that or not, but we'll see. Anyways, I was reading some Drarry one-shots yesterday, and it put me in the Harry Potter mood. So, we got some HP/DSMP crossover. I really like this, and I may make some fanart for it. I may even continue this story. Here's what I was thinking: essentially the same story timeline, but from another one of the character's perspectives. If you want that, comment below. Alright, have a lovely day everyone and I will see you soon! — BeeDuoMyBeloveds ♡
