Use the sliders on the start x and start y variables to choose where the pattern starts, if you start the project in a corner or on an edge then the pattern is likely to be abstract whereas if it is central it will probably have symmetry. The repeats variable is used to decide how many loops there are on the spiral, it also allows you to change the shape of the pattern. So if you find any good shapes post the repeats variable in the comments.
