Please be patient at the start of the simulation- it may take a while for the Gobos to find the mushrooms and reproduce! The mushrooms take 7 seconds to grow back, so there should come a point when the vegetable patch becomes too crowded, and so the population should be naturally limited. Just a simple simulation, to see what happens when you leave a computer environment to evolve. Feel free to look at the scripts and see how I control the speed/direction changes. Enjoy :) From what I have seen, the Gobos slowly adapt until most of the population are travelling faster, and towards the mushrooms. *Update* For some scenarios, I have found there are periods of population growth and decline. The Gobos become too fast and so bounce and miss the mushrooms before they have time to grow back. Then the process seems to cycle every few minutes... interesting! *Update 2* Sometimes the Gobos are lucky and have just the right conditions to form a super-fast population. The average speed spirals out of control! At this point, they're only limited by the mushrooms available.
