Click the green flag to see a short animation using at most 13 black pixels per frame, based on the 1986 C64 game International Karate.
If you don't know the game, check it out here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/6BOXR008V2I/ I drew the pixels in the Scratch paint editor (bitmap mode) and set the sprite size to 2000%. The backflip is actually from the fantastic sequel IK+ - a three-player fighting game! IK+ is more fun to play, but I prefer the music in International Karate. The music and sound effects are from the actual game. The music was made by the amazing Rob Hubbard, and it is one of my absolute favorite SID tunes - just listen to those really weird percussion-like sounds. This project only features a snippet of the intro, but you can listen to the whole thing in the video linked to above, or watch this wonderful oscilloscope version: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/dvmSpZWW45k/ Fun fact for those of you who are familiar with the music: It is largely an interpretation of the main theme in the Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence movie soundtrack by Ryuichi Sakamoto. Great music and very interesting (but not child friendly) movie. Listen to the music here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/LF9_9MZyQGo/
