press space or click for the next slides remix with your own attempts at realism! also not to advertise but i'm down to do AT's and i also take requests in my studio.
wow! i finally finished this project. basically what you'll find here is a detailed instruction on how to use ibis Paint X to create a realistic (or mostly-realistic) portrait. in the project, i go over the importance of mapping, blending, spacing, colors, and brush use (AND USING REFS). if you have questions, just comment, and i'll try to explain. note: i changed up some of the features (mainly the hair texture) just because. also, some of the images kind of jump because i forgot to take screenshots but just imagine what it looked like in between. i spent about 5 hours drawing this (with my finger, haha) and then an extra hour writing the instructions, so don't lose hope if it isn't coming together in the first 15 minutes. at that point, it'll probably look like mr. potato head. don't fret it! we all start there. the reason i made this is because it frustrates me that there aren't a lot of these tutorials on scratch, or anywhere, really, since most people use procreate, but for android users or people who don't want to spend money, ibis is a great option. as someone who can't really afford the whole ipad+apple pencil+procreate combo, i still wanted to draw realistically and this is my way of giving that knowledge to other people who might be in the same situation. an easy download is a super helpful thing when you're just starting. that's it! thanks for reading.
