Johns Hopkins experimenter Shreesh Mysore cuts into the skulls of barn owls, inserts electrodes into their brains, forces them to look at screens for hours a day, and bombards them with noises and lights. After he finishes this the owls are killed. This is terrible for the owls and the last moments of their life are spent in pain when they should be in the wild hunting.
