I'm technically not late it's the last day of September >:) uh yea with school and all I didn't finish the drawing until very recently but it's done now! I decided to use alcohol based markers for this drawing because I saw that beautiful green dress in the reference and really wanted to do the colors justice! (also idk how to explain alcohol based markers if you don't know what they are already, sooo if you want to know you can look them up lol) I'm very happy with it but it doesn't really look as good in the photo as in real life. Oh also I did a background for once :o yayy stepping out side of my comfort zone! One thing I would change if I did it again would probably not use the paint pen until I'm done with all the stuff with the markers since going over the paint pen with markers makes it a bit patchy as you might be able to see. Anyways, I hope you like it :) Materials: - Pencil and eraser for sketching: uhhh nothing special to say here other than that pink eraser is definitely not the one I used for the drawing it's too perfect XD - Ohuhu fine liners for the lineart: I'm pretty sure I used the .5 and .7 sizes - Gelly Roll white gel pens for highlights: .05 and .08 sizes because I lost the .1 - My sister's white Posca paint pen for bigger highlights/covering up mistakes: idk what else to say... - Ohuhu Brush & Chisel tipped alcohol based markers for the coloring: I'm super lucky to have gotten the 72 pack for last birthday! ik this is a super long list but if you want to make something like this with markers, don't worry! You don't need all these fancy (by my standards at least lol) supplies to make art! There are cheaper things on the market as well and you may already have some materials in your house!
I really appreciate constructive criticism! If you have any suggestions please tell me! Here's the studio: My calendar is "Ballet" (2021 16-Month Calendar) by Bright Day Calendars. That's where I got the reference :D The music is "Stasis" by Steve Oxen: https://www.fesliyanstudios.com/royalty-free-music/download/stasis/1394 Thanks to for suggesting I add music on my last monthly drawing! ...Also 16 month calendar?
