{CHAPTER ONE- PART ONE: Day-Break} Hyacinth fingered the scroll she had. What had Whale just called her? /A hybrid./ She couldn't get his sneer out of her mind. 'You won't be more then a HYBRID!' So? Being a hybrid couldn't be so bad... right? Sunny was one. And she used to be a Dragonet of Destiny! A shuffling noise was started behind her. Tamarin. The little dragon whirled around to find the Rainwing next to Hyacinth. "What happened?" She muttered, her pale blue eyes staring up at the dragonet. "Is it Whale again? It is isn't it" Hyacinth sighed. Of course Tamarin would be able to tell what was going on. "Yeah.. he's such a-" She paused. "Squidbrain!" Hyacinth growled, using the word Whale threw around every so often. It felt just right for someone like him. Tamarin tilted her head. "You probably should go back to your Winglet, try talking to him." Try talking to THAT squidbrain? Probably wouldn't go off very well, but she could always try. {Although, that would mean having to deal with Starred Skies, and they were perhaps the most confusing Nightwing in Phyrria. But they did have some good advice. Most of the time....} {CHAPTER TWO} Hyacinth reached the Citrine Winglet, where five of her clawmates currently resided. Starred Skies, the Nightwing, there was Polaris talking to Whale- her absolute enemy. And then there was little Aloe. She was the smallest, the most energetic. Hyacinth thought she was a bit odd as well- Aloe seemed to have too much energy for someone as small as she was. Starred Skies was the first to notice Hyacinth. "Something's gone wrong. Did Whale tell you yet?" they queried, in the same monotone voice as always. "Why would Whale tell me anything?" Hyacinth grumbled, sitting down not far from them. They looked up at her with mismatched eyes. "Well, its about Moon." They started carefully. /Moon... Moon.. Moonwatcher/ Hyacinth remembered the name from Kinkajou- Moon was another friend of hers. in the same Winglet. "What about it?" Hyacinth groaned. "Please don't tell me this is another "Something is going to happen... and it is not good. I know because I can feel it, even though I don't have special Nightwing powers!" Star blinked. "Noooooo... but Whale overheard something. Apparently Moon has something to hide" They said slowly. "And? Why should we care? Its probably some crush on that Icewing" Hyacinth huffed. All she wanted to do was call Whale a squidbrain. What was this?! Starred Skies shook their head. "Something bigger. Something Magical. And we are going to find out." {CHAPTER THREE} "Is it true that Icewings are afraid of the desert? What about Oasis springs? I mean, they are water, and they would help right- or does it only work with cold water..." Hyacinth was getting a headache. The six dragonets had gone outside, and Aloe was blabbering off, talking to each of her clawmates. First it was Whale, who gave her a funny joke about Seawings as a reply. The answer had surprised- and if she was being honest- hurt Hyacinth. Whale seemed kind to everyone he met. Except the hybrid. All she was, was a little abnormal. Was that really enough to endure that much bullying? Aloe had started questioning Starred Skies, or Star as most called them, next, only getting yes/no's, and 'It's the fates desicion' as her answer. So it was only a few seconds before she turned on Polaris. Poor Icewing, he seemed to be trying {and failing. Emphasize failing} to keep up the little dragonet. It was Hyacinth next, and she glanced at Star. Whale wouldn't help, obviously. Polaris and Aloe were too caught up in the game. Meaning it was up to Star to stop Aloe before she undoubtedly started questioning Hyacinth about her hybrid status. Star cleared their throat. "Aloe, we should probably lay off the questions until AFTER we figure out what's with Moon". He flicked his tail towards the little dragonet, who looked as if she was scared out of her mind. "Then, we can really start questioning. Ourselves and our clawmates" Hyacinth glared at the Nightwing. All he was doing was stopping Aloe and building up her excitement until ANOTHER time. 'Great job' she muttered sarcastically, under her breath. Star seemed to notice, but said nothing. "We'll start searching after History, then" Polaris spoke up, receiving a nod from the others. {CHAPTER FOUR} Hyacinth fidgeted with her scroll. Usually, keeping up with the lecture was easy, but with Star looking up at the sky for ten minutes at a time every now and then, and with Aloe seemingly in a trance... well, it was clear something was wrong. Hyacinth seemed to be fine, Polaris was just as focused as usual, and Whale was busy writing something- not that big of a change.... And then it happened. An explosion. So gigantic, and in a split second. Hyacinth didn't even know what was happening, except someone {who's voice sounded oddly familiar} yelling, "LOOK OUT!" and Hyacinth's vision going dark.
I'm sorry for writing it so short! This is the best place to go for a cliffhanger! Don't worry, Hyacinth is alright, but I didn't want to keep you waiting for so long! So Hopefully you like it! My writing isn't very good either... But it was really fun! {Btw, the project thumbnail I am totally stealing from myself and giving to my art account. That is the best thumbnail I've ever done.}
