Backstory- The main character is Serenity, he's a dreaminin, and when he was always told as a child, Shadows (another made-up creature) were always evil but Serenity got tired of hearing that, so serenity found a book all about shadows and went to the forbidden bridge, which leads to the shadow realm. he found an abandoned castle and he didn't know about the orn gem. it said in the book to bring back a shadow (all shadows were defeated) to recite the spell on the orn gem, but when he did suddenly the shadow took over his body and is planning to take over the dreams realm. His brother (Soren) now has to save him.
