Please read the controls and moves sections before playing the game. Press any key to start. Tap on the screen if mobile. ----CONTROLS---- E: Toggle Editor Play mode controls: A and D/ left and right arrows: Move W/Up arrow: Jump S/Down arrow: Crouch Space: Shoot Fireballs Editor controls: 0-8: Change Brush i: Eye Dropper Tool Click: Place/Remove Tile L: Change Level R: Reset Level B: Change Background Mobile Controls: Joystick: Move (Left/Right half) Jump (upper third) Crouch (lower quarter) ----MOVES---- Walking: Mario can walk left and right. Jumping: Mario can jump 4 blocks when he is small. When he is big, he can jump 5 blocks. Crouching: Mario can crouch when he is big. When he is crouching under a block, he can jump to propel himself forward. ----POWER-UPS---- Super mushroom: Mario can eat a super mushroom to become Super Mario. When he is Super Mario, he has an extra hit point. He can jump higher, and break brick blocks. Fire Flower: When consumed, Mario turns into fire Mario and can shoot fireballs. Fireballs can kill enemies. 1-Up Mushroom: Mario gets an extra life when he eats this. Super Star: This powerup jumps around like crazy. When Mario collects it, he becomes invincible and will kill any enemies he touches. ----GIZMOS---- Conveyor Belts: They will move Mario and enemies in the direction that they are moving. On/Off Blocks: When hit from below, they will turn red and blue blocks either solid or non-solid. They also change the direction of conveyor belts. P-Switches: Step on them to turn all blocks into coins and vice versa! Bounce Blocks: Walking on these bounces you into the air. Holding up can bounce you even higher. ----MARIO'S ENEMIES---- Goomba: Goombas come in three sizes. If they run into Mario, he will get hurt. If mario jumps on them, he will squish them and bounce into the air. Koopa: Koopas behave like goombas, except when Mario jumps on them they will hide in their shell. When their shell is bumped, it travels at high speeds and wipes out any enemies it touches. Flying Koopa: Flying koopas fly up and down in a line. When jumped on, they will hide in their shell just like normal koopas. Piranha Plant: These evil plants come in two varients. Some piranha plants come in and out of pipes, while others just stay planted where they are. If Mario touches one, he will get hurt. Spiny: Like a goomba, but mario can't jump on them without getting hurt. Thwomp: A Thwomp is large and angry block of stone that will fall on Mario when he walks under it. Thwomps can crush other enemies. Bullet Bill: Shot from the black bullet cannons, these dangerous missiles will fly in a strait line until they hit something. They can be killed, however, by jumping on their head. Un-life: The un-life is a poisonous mushroom that will kill Mario when he eats it. Stone: Not really an enemy. It will fall if there is nothing under it. It can crush Mario. ----EDITOR---- The 0 key is for air blocks. The 1 key is for dirt and grass blocks. The 2 key is for stone blocks. The 3 key is for wood and metal blocks. The 4 key is for nature blocks. The 5 key is for special blocks (brick blocks, semisolids, mystery blocks) The 6 key is for coins and powerups, as well as the end box. The 7 key is for enemies. The 8 key is for gizmos (on/off blocks and conveyor belts) Use the Eye Dropper to select a tile or enemy that is under your cursor. Changing the background will change the overall feel of your level. There are three backgrounds: Day, Night, and Cave. Mario can fly around while in editor mode.
