ahoieuhfaoisehfaoisuhef i love the hunger games too much aaaaaaaa >:0 they're such good books and the movies are great too aaaaaaaa SO GO READ THEM- I'M TALKING TO YOU HOLLY >:D that way you can fangirl over finnick odair with me hehehehehehe hunger games fans!! if you haven't read the new prequel, the ballad of songbirds and snakes, you really should read it!! it's SO GOOD oh my gosh it explains so much about how the hunger games came to be what they are :0 the treatment of tributes during the early games was horrendous- i mean, so is the hunger games in general, but it was even worse then if that makes sense haha. and the characters,, are so amazing- you really fall in love with all of them- i even started to like snow a teensy tiny bit until certain stuff happens :0 and you even learn the song origins of the hanging tree, the meadow song, etc. it's just such a great book and i really recommend it!!! :D SOME SMALL SPOILERS BELOW- READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! so basically this piece is showing lucy gray (on the left), who wrote the song, and katniss everdeen (on the right), who used the song to restart the rebellion. lucy gray was during the 10th hunger games, so that's why her side is more faded and dark, and katniss was the 74th, so she's very clear and new looking haha. the similarities between both girls are so cool :0 they both have a symbolic meaning for mockingjays, they both represented district 12 in the hunger games, and they both won. they both rebelled against the capitol rules to win, they both despised the games, they both had issues with coriolanus snow, they both lived in the seam, both used the same lake, i could keep going on and on- although i feel like katniss and lucy gray would not really get along if they knew each other xD END OF SPOILERS but yeah, this was my attempt at bringing the 10th hunger games and the 74th hunger games together into one piece, and i'm pretty proud of the result :] credits- art | @ashleystarturtle characters | lucy gray baird and katniss everdeen from the hunger games by suzanne collins code | @colorsnatch music | the hanging tree from the hunger games
