Hello! I’ve been wanting to host a DMC for awhile now so I kinda pounced on an excuse to do so- You know how these things always start. 400 followers? /how/? And believe me, I’m thinking that. Buuut I’m also sure we’re all more eager to get to the rules and whatnot, yeah? So let’s hop to it. ~ Contents ~ -Rules -Prizes -Judging -Reference -Can I Draw Him As An Animal? -Bottom Line -Credits -List of Prize Givers ~ Rules (We’ve gotta have them) ~ -Entry must be a remix -One entry per scratcher, not per account -Must be your own art -You can’t use icon creators or whatnot -No stealing other people’s entries -No being rude to other participants -Entry must be shared by Dec. 5 -You don’t have to ask to join but it’d be nice to know if people are planning to enter -this is open to everyone; you don’t have to be following me -You can enter and be a prize giver -If you want to be a prize giver just ask -If you do traditional art please make sure the picture/scan is as clear as you can -You can use other art platforms for digital art and upload them on to here ~ Prizes ~ - 1st 5 loves from all the prize givers 1 full body drawing of your oc (colored and shaded) 2 headshot drawings of your oc(s) (colored and shaded) 1 detailed pfp - 2nd 4 loves from all the prize givers 2 headshot drawings of your oc(s) (colored and shaded) 1 detailed pfp 1 line art full body of your oc - 3rd 3 loves from all the prize givers 1 headshot drawing of your oc (colored and shaded) 1 line art drawing of your oc 1 simple pfp I’ll add more prizes if there are a lot of entries. I’m open to more prize ideas. ~ Judging ~ Judging will be done by me after the contest ends with results being posted asap. Judging will be completely unbiased, so everyone has a chance to win. To up your chances, try: -Staying true to the character -Adding a background -Adding shading, even if minimal. -Somehow incorporating something of his personality in to the drawing ~ Reference ~ There’s a reference inside the project that covers physical aspects. Oh and you can change the outfit if you want. Suggestions? Something that would have been worn in, say, 1930 onward. Here’s a few other things: Personality: I’m so bad at describing personalities, but basically he’s arrogant/egotistical and pretty annoying at first, but insecure and fairly sweet when he opens up. Fav color: black Country: grew up in England but lives in the States. Need anything else? Just ask ~ Can I Draw Him As An Animal? ~ He’s a shapeshifter, so I don’t see why not. Um but maybe stay away from bats? (Backstory reasons). Oh and it’d fit more if the animal wasn’t anthro, since he isn’t when he shifts. If you want to draw him as an animal and need a ref, just ask and I can draw one up real quick, or just describe what he looks like as that animal. ~ Bottom Line ~ Annd I think that covers it.
