This scanner on my PC does 2200 Pixels Per Second on Turbo Mode (120x120 image in 2.6 sec) How it works? It uses the "Brightness" effect in Scratch. The scanner increases the veriable by 10 which changes this effect until it senses White in the position. If it does, scanner precisely searches for white (it decreases "brighhtness" by 10 and then it increases by 2 until it senses white) and then saves the brightness value to the list to be rendered using a pen.
