Assuming it was just an animal I grabbed my blade before stepping outside. I didn’t see anything, so I decided to check around back. Nothing. I made my way to the front of the house again, but this time I was met with a person. He appeared to be quite young, yet something was off about him. He looked different somehow. His blue eyes seemed to be staring into my soul. I could tell that something wasn’t right. He took one step towards me, and I had this feeling that his face would be the last I’d ever see.
