/!\ Warning! The following contains Mid blood and gore /!\ Orion swam up towards the surface, something glittered above. His head burst through the water. Orion took a look around trying to find what he had seen under the water. The moon was out making the ocean shimmer. A butterfly darted over startling him. He smiled and darted after it. The butterfly landed on the shore, Orion looked around hoping no one would notice him if he went on the land. After all he was a fish cat, what would the others think? He slowly crawled out onto the land. His tail felt like a heavy weight on land. The sand was cool from the night and the sea was calm. He whimpered at the cold wind that shoved him back towards the ocean. The butterfly darted over Orion’s head and gave him back his spark of curiosity. He chases the butterfly along the shore, its sparkle pink wings flapping. Never tired. Never worrying. Care free. Orion wished he could be like that. The butterfly flew under a wire fence. Orion looked for a way around, he found a hole and dropped down onto his belly. He slipped halfway through the fence only to be yanked back by a pain in his right ear. Orion clenched his teeth in pain and yanked his head forward. Pain shot through him, he tightened his jaw to keep from yowling. He wiggled his way out of the fence finally, he grabbed a big leaf from a tree and wrapped it around his ear. Orion looked around for the butterfly, it was watching him form a stick. He looked into a puddle. He stared in horror at where the end of his ear had been. Part of his ear had been ripped off. Orion winched in pain. He took a deep breath and poured the cold rain water on his ear to clean the blood. “What now?” He asked the butterfly, “You haven’t flown away. What is it you want from me?” The butterfly flew over and landed on his nose. Warmth spread through him and the pain in his ear faded. He gasped and looked back into the puddle. His ear had stopped bleeding and all his discomfort was gone. He held up his paw and the butterfly landed on it. Orion smiled. (380 words and 1999 characters :0 )
