Backstory: Thrushkit was born as a rogue and was called Otter by his mother. When his mother was hit by a car on the Thunderpath, Otter spent around half a moon by himself, on the brink of death. He was found by a SkyClan patrol and he was looked after. As he couldn't talk, he ended up being called Thrushkit rather than Otterkit.
