I managed to squeeze in the time to make an entry! It wasn’t very easy, and I’m actually submitting it about 30 minutes before the deadline, haha :’) ... “As they sit on the steps, fingers gripping the edge and pressing against the hard stone that has been worn down with time, they think. They think about how the world might have been so long ago, and how it might have looked from where they were sitting. They almost feel like they can sense the long-missing presence of those ancient people who might have once stood in that very spot. They almost feel like they can connect with them, through what they knew and what they could learn from being here. Forging connections, through what had been left behind...” ... Okay, hope you enjoyed that little short story! The character in it is me, reflecting on how different the world was so long ago, and how being there in person makes me feel connected, almost. (Of course, I’m not actually there, and haven’t actually been before, it’s purely imaginative) This is (what’s left of) an Ancient Greek temple, btw. Forgot to say that earlier :’) Now to talk about the art! It took about 170 minutes total (almost 3 hours), and I’m quite happy with it. The colors are really nice, and the background is actually decent?? I used a ref, so that probably helped quite a bit. I could have done better on the character, but- *shrugs* didn’t really have the time :’) Hope this does well in the contest, lol. All art by me on Procreate with a stylus pen :)
