Hey! It's Gila monster appreciation hours! They're the largest lizard native to North America, and they're also one of the few venomous species of lizards in the world. Their distinctive black and orange banding is to help them camouflage in their habitat, which is dry, arid deserts. They aren't very active during the day, like most desert animals, and look for food when is cooler. They eat smaller animals, insects and bird eggs. Anyway, about the actual design. I know it's extremely complicated (I got carried away with the spots) and I also know not everyone is as unhinged as I am, and most people don't enjoy drawing that many spots. So! If you tap the image, I've already made a version that's simplified, but still recognizable as a gila monster. Feel free to simplify further if you want, or go absolutely feral with the spots.
