Kifo bounced to his fathers side. “You called, father?” he said. Uzma looked down at his second born son. “Yes, Kifo. Your brother wants to take you out and hunt. Give your legs a stretch.” Keni can trotting up Pride Rock with his tail up and a smirk on his face. “The future king wants to spend time with his little brother! That’s all. Kazi is busy with mother so she won’t come.” After he finished saying his little speech, he jumped down the rocks and waited for Kifo. “Do I have to go, father? Can’t I help the lioness’s with anything?” Kifo begged. His father chuckled. “A king can take care of his own duties. You can spend time with your brother.” Kifo got up and walked the same way as Keni. “Just so you know, your not my king. Just my brother. So don’t boss me around.” He growled. “What makes you say that? I’ll only be your brother until I grow up and take the thrown from father.” Keni laughed. Kifo sighed and followed Keni. He saw his friends as they were walking. “I’ll be back.” He walked in the direction towards them. “Ugh! Don’t take long. A king doesn’t like to wait.” growled his brother. “Hey guys! Good to see you. Chuki? How’s that eye turning up?” The four cubs all smiled at the prince. “My eyes fine, thanks for asking. The Healer knows was he’s doing. It’s awesome that your father lets other males stay in the pride.” Kifo felt a sudden feeling of pride. “Ha! I’d take that vulture and eat it! No body messes with my friends. And if they do, they’ll have to answer to me!” roared Dellion. All of them laughed, including Dellion. “Hehe! That’s be very brave if you, Dellion. You’d save anybody. Lion or not.” Dellion gave an awkward smile at Uzuri. “Kiiiiiiiiifo! Come on! We’re wasting daylight.” snarled Keni. “Like I have to come. I can spend spend some time with my friends. You can go.” As soon as Kifo turned his head, Keni pounced and pinned him. The others backed up except Dellion. Keni pinned his ears and growled at Dellion. “Why don’t you back up before you get hurt.” Dellion barred his teeth but listened and backed up. “I told father I wanted to spend time with you. You always stay in the den and never come out!” Wakati sprinted towards Keni and knocked him off Kifo. “So? If he wants to spend time with us, so be it. You can’t boss him around.” he snapped. “Go Wakati!!” shouted Uzuri but soon stopped when Keni growled at her. Dellion stepped up next to his friend. “I can’t boss him around, but I know lions who can.” growled Keni. He got into a crouch position and looked ready to pounce but didn’t when he heard the voice of a lioness. “Keni! What in the world are you doing? Is this the way you treat your Pride-mates?” It was Shanki, Kifo and Keni’s mother, returning with Kazi and some other lionesses. “Would someone please get Uzma?” A lioness nodded and darted up Pride Rock to Uzma. Kazi bounded over to her brothers. “Seriously, Keni? Is that really a way to behave as a future king? And Kifo! My stars! Are you okay?!” Kifo stood up and pretended nothing happened. “I’m fine, sis. Nothing but a few scratches.” he said. “ON YOUR FACE!! You need to see the Healer!” she shouted. Uzma jumped down from Pride Rock. “What happened?” he asked. “Kifo did it! Kifo did it father!” Kodi growled at his brother. “I. DID. NOT!!” He roared at his brother but as the sound of a grown male lion. Four lions appeared in the clouds. Keni jumped out of the way and behind Shanki. After a few seconds, he stopped. “Woah.” spoke Wakati. The Healer then stepped down from his cave. “That, my friends, was the Roar Of The Elders.”
