Her mom had woken up to her screams and was coming to check what was going on in Amna's room. "M..Mom... there... there is a white... a white..." That was all she was able to tell her mom before her voice got stuck in her throat. She could've never even imagined a girl in her window on a stormy night. "Amna, I don't understand. You must have seen a nightmare, though I'm sure my daughter is a brave little girl!" "Mom, I swear I saw something!", Amna was almost yelling as she said that. She was breathing heavily. "You're starting to see stuff! It's alright, dear! Relax!", Amna's mother tried to calm her as Amna hugged her mother tightly. Amna's mother didn't believe her story. Amna sighed and walked back to her room. She sat down on her bed, and tried to calm herself by saying, "You're just seeing stuff, there are no such things as ghosts!" Amna jumped onto her bed and tried to put herself to sleep. ⭐⭐⭐ It was summer, so she didn't have to go to school. She had nothing better to do than to go on a walk and explore the place. Her mom was right, it was not much of a city. As she walking while looking around, her thoughts surrounded her and she tried to calm herself. She bumped into a girl and fell. "Oh, I'm so sorry!", the girl exclaimed as she lent Amna a hand and pulled her up. "No no! It's my fault!" Amna apologized. "It's no big deal", the girl smiled at Amna. Amna decided to make her very first friend, "I'm Amna, a fourteen-year-old, extrovert weirdo who loves to go on risky adventures and doesn't get scared too easily!" They both chuckled. "Nice to meet you! I'm Sarah, a curious thirteen-year-old who loves to snap photos and solve mysteries!" "Cool! We'll meet here tomorrow at the same time, alright?", Amna excitedly asked her. "Yeah, definitely!", Sarah was even more excited. ⭐⭐⭐ "I guess, life goes on! I learned to move on, and even found an amazing friend! I'm no longer upset about leaving my old home. But I'm still not sure if I saw a girl in my window or something else. ~Gotta go! Bye, dear diary!" Amna smiled as she put her pen and diary in the drawer. She was about to head to bed to get a quick nap when suddenly the lights started flickering. A strong wind started to blow in from the window. ╰┈➤ project ┊ credits music :: promise - jimin novelette :: mysteries of the white island author :: me ()
