Press |N| or |M| to throw left and right punches, respectively. Hold |W| before throwing a punch to target your opponent's face. Note that holding |W| while dodging will cause Little Mac to quickly retaliate after dodging a punch, allowing quick follow-up punches. However, Little Mac may become vulnerable if he retaliates too quickly. |B| is used to start a round (start button), as well as for throwing an uppercut if Little Mac has a star (Displayed in the top-left).

I played a lot of originals: Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros. Even TMNT found its way into the mix. But my enjoyment for them were nowhere near how much I loved Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!. I got so good at the game that I could (and still can) do a full playthrough of the game with 14KO's, and beat every character up to Don Flamenco two (nine fights in) in the first round AND without ever being knocked down myself. I've played so much of the game for such a long time, and yet I find that it still gives me pleasure knocking down Glass Joe. So much so that I just decided to make the game. Why wait until Spring when I can use the NES again when I can just make the whole game myself! So here I am. Sure, it's only one fighter out of fourteen (which took almost 2k blocks btw). But with time, perseverance, and dedication, it will come. Hope you learn to relish this retro masterpiece as I do. Stay cool - Creationeer
