-- Snow Complains About Krita n' Stuff -- Yee, so I figured out a new skill that basically gives me a clipping layer (aka "group layer") in Krita, it just takes some extra steps. This helped out with the markings, but by the time I was ready to shade Krita started having seizures. So apparently, this only works once. Thus, it was impossible to shade the trot/walk cycle as I was hoping. I also encountered a big problem with the scrolling background (yes, too ambitious, I know-), but somehow was able to fix it with ✨ the power of coding ✨. Which also unfortunately resulted in a second sprite existing that looks horrible on its own. Yet I still threw down some sort of shading on the topmost layer, which I'm still trying to decide whether it looks good or not. -- Snow Actually Talks About The MAP Part -- So I tried to incorporate the lyrics to the song into my part, resulting in Sugarbean's energetic little trot at the beginning there (I spent so much time on this it's not even funny :'P), and the time of day ending up being sundown. I did a small amount of research, recalling the lake scene in Chapter 3 and the short story about how Zera found Sugarcane by the lake, thus I tried to draw my backgrounds accordingly (and also water is quick to draw if you're lazy about it). I also went back to Chapter 3 to find a lake reference and realized the amount of bushes. A very good time saving strategy that I quickly stole >:'D I really just wanted to draw Sugarcane and Zera being the adorable characters that they are :'3 And then accidentally overpowered them in too much glorious light. -- TLDR: -- Krita pains me, scrolling background problems, drawing children is fun and also overpowering them with way too much sun man. -- Credits -- MAP host: @PeachesAndPies Characters: @PeachesAndPies Song: Come Along - Cosmo Sheldrake Program used: Krita Time spent: I don't want to talk about it-
