Just to let you know, a maiko is a geisha in training. If you don't know what a geisha is, don't worry. It's a Japanese female performer. The difference between a maiko and a geisha is that they noticeably have only their lower lip pained, are younger than 20, and have longer kimonos (traditional Japanese clothing) than geishas. They also have more pink and red tones than geisha when they are wearing makeup.
