take a look
The brainchild of a Japanese computer company heir(& all-around spoiled trust fund kid), the Sohei Ya was meant to be a luxurious supercar for showing off, and show off it could, with its 6 pop-up headlights & array of anachronistic technological features that may have been out of reach for our 1984, such as an in-car computer, HUD, & active aero flaps. Of course, such a project was very expensive, & definitely not going to be big in Japan anytime soon, so the car was destined for export, & maybe the 6 made would have reached foreign shores if they had found any buyers. They didn't find any, but now the car's experienced quite the resurgence in popularity thanks to '80s nostalgia, so who knows what could happen next?
